Originally from the beach towns of southern California, Susanne has become a world traveler in search of culinary adventures and amazing cultures.
Fate's good fortune played its hand as Hurricane Ian and Susanne both blew in to town around the same time, Fall of 2022, and yet something about that storm was a blessing in disguise. Despite the blustery introduction, it was a springboard to set up a new homebase and immersed herself in the delightful task of making new friends and endeavoring a new chapter of her Front Burner businesses. In swift time, she made inspiring connections and found new avenues to showcase her culinary talents — including teaching at a local cooking school, crafting homemade pizzas, refining a handcrafted limoncello, and creating an array of delectable and wonderful foodie delights.

Susanne has a wide skill set that, and one of her most useful tools has been her gift for gab. “My friends make fun of me when because I can talk to anyone,” she says cheerfully, “and my mom used to get report cards for me in elementary school that said, ‘Susanne is an excellent student, but she talks too much!’”

That chat-ability and approachability has always served her well. Stretching beyond a traditional education, Susanne got involved in nutrition coaching after studying with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition®, and has gone on to seek out other culinary credentials including Blue Zones® and Forks Over Knives® certifications.

But the real serendipities happen out in the field. Susanne gained valuable behind-the-scenes industry experience performing the exciting work of hand-walking new & emerging products as a natural-products industry broker. She has designed and presented nutrition seminars for corporate wellness events, managed large event canteens and food trucks, consulted on new menu & recipe design, and — thanks to new friends and local demand — has gravitated toward personal chef services and crafting intimate gatherings.

Susanne believes that better nutrition goes hand-in-hand with a healthy lifestyle, and yet finds many people interested in eating right don’t always know where to start. This is part of what drives her: to help others find optimal foods to cook, and how to shop well and take control of their wellbeing.
​
So, if ya catch her in between chasing dolphins out on her paddleboard or playing with her beloved Frenchie Gigi, be sure to stop her to say hi. "Everyone is a foodie at heart," she believes, "and as such, we foodies are at our best out savoring life."
